Covid-19 continues to take its toll throughout the world, and most especially throughout the Philippines, there has been recent good news of late regarding vaccines and government plans on mass distribution for the masses. However, let’s get real, this tough business climate is not going away soon.

Since March of 2020, every small business in the country was forced to close. This left small business owners having to decide to either weather this storm of unavoidable expenses of each passing month and wait out until they are allowed to operate again, or to just simply opt-out and permanently close.

Luckily, a large number of owners decided on the former, showing Filipino resilience, and a display of creativity with the adjustments they had to make during their re-opening. This though did not come without a price, many of these owners had to make the tough decision of laying off a lot of their staff, lowering operations cost to survive.
